Karlyn Nelson and Lacy Register, the partners behind Nelson + Register, believe the home is the center of your life, and that buying or selling a house is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. They’re committed to becoming your guide in the often crazy world of Los Angeles real estate. It’s their goal to make the process as quick, easy and pain free as possible, even in a market that’s hotter than ever. And they’ll also help you have a little fun along the way.

With backgrounds in public relations and hospitality, Karlyn and Lacy have built their business on straightforward, open communication and industry-leading client service, not to mention a whole lot of hustle. Since joining forces in 2019, they’ve been leading agents in the Mid City, West Adams, Jefferson Park and South LA neighborhoods where they reside, while helping buyers purchase their dream homes and condos from Long Beach to Granada Hills and the Westside to West Hollywood. Their clients describe them as tenacious, creative, smart and understanding, and they are ready to work hard for you.

After joining Compass, Karlyn and Lacy launched Nelson + Register, an evolution of the Tom Lind Real Estate brand, in January 2022 to reflect their partnership and build on the foundation of the absolute best care for their clients.

After purchasing two homes in six years, running marketing for her late husband, realtor Tom Lind, and writing about Mid City and South LA neighborhoods for the blog, www.MidCityBigLife.com, she became a Realtor herself and hasn’t looked back. She was the top realtor three years running at her last brokerage and continues to break new personal goals at Compass.

Prior to real estate, Karlyn spent 20 years in advertising and entertainment. She is a breast cancer survivor and a fierce advocate for mental health, actively supporting LA’s Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. But her most important job? Mom to her amazing son, Theo.

After 16 years as a teacher, Tim followed in his older brother’s footsteps and got his real estate license. He now brings his unique blend of guidance, dependability, collaboration and communication–all honed while working with kids–to his amazing clients. Since his move from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2012, Tim has spent the majority of his time in Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica before moving east to Culver City and then to Leimert Park, where he resides today. Now, Tim offers his professional service to these areas and more, having doubled his business every six months in his first two years as a realtor.

Tim understands that buying or selling a home is often one of the most important decisions in one’s life. Tim’s friendly and supportive nature helps him work with clients to identify their goals. His effort and persistence helps his clients achieve their goals. And the teacher in him helps him communicate to his clients effectively, giving them the confidence and direction they need to navigate through any potential obstacles in a real estate transaction.

When he isn’t with clients, you may see Tim hiking or playing a game of pickup basketball. He also contributes time and energy by volunteering to both mental health and congenital heart disease support organizations across the city.
